Shepton Mallet Community Fridge is a community group run solely by volunteers who take unsold, unused and surplus foods from a huge range of shops from Sainsbury’s and Lidl to local independent bakeries and grocers, this is then free and available for anyone to take from the unit based on Townsend.
 
So far we have saved over 25 tonnes of food from going to waste. Which is more than three T Rex worth of food! We aim to be an Inclusive operation; everyone in the community is welcome to take food from the fridge.
